Unfortunately I was not all that impressed with our meal here. We had a scallop starter that was mediocre with quite small scallops. We ordered steak and a chicken dish. We didnβt find the quality to be great for either and service was mediocre. With so many great choices in Oslo, this place needs to step it up.
Really worth a visit
I ordered a table to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday, where in the order I indicated a birthday. It was clear that both the butler and the waiter had caught on to this and the evening bore the mark of extra attention to him. We ordered a 3-course meal with a wine menu and everything was adapted and arranged with perfect flavors for personal arrangement with regard to drinks. Nothing to complain about either food or service, the place is highly recommended.

A little better earlier, but still good.
I have previously experienced this as a relaxed eatery as I would expect in a brasserie. This year it was quite hectic, but efficient serving. Here, December gets to take the blame. We had crayfish au gratin and tartare for starters. Crayfish top, tartare with grated horseradish and fried kale at the very top compared to the best I've had in France. For the main course sole with almond butter, mashed potatoes and green leaf salad, simple as it should be, and very good. Two of the guests chose entrecΓ΄te. Good bΓ©arnaise, good taste of the meat, but such a thin slice that it looked like beefsteak. A bit of road crossing style. As a guest, I would choose to pay a little more for the dish and get more meat. The fries that accompanied the dish were also not at the level of French cuisine. There is potential for improvement here. The waiter was good at picking good wines for both starters and main courses. He gave very good instructions which elevated the meal.
Very cozy place
Very cozy place. Our female waitress was very pleasant. Followed up the table the whole time. There was a gluten allergy among us and it was no problem. Was followed up with gluten-free options. The food was absolutely lovely, 2 Christmas menus, 1 entrecΓ΄te and 1 duck with 2 crayfish for starters. A visit is recommended.

Friendly welcome to reserved table. We didn't exactly think that the location was top and immediately got another table. Waiter attentive, quick with menus, not too quick to take orders. Knew everything about what was on the menus. Came straight away with regular tap water when we asked for it. The food arrived after a long enough time to have obviously been made on site, but quickly enough that we didn't have time to wait for it. Coordinated that one of us should only have a main course, so it came together with the others'. One of us ordered a menu, when some of the others got dessert, the menu's dessert was missing. After a few minutes we drew attention to it, then it came immediately, with an apology for the blunder, and immediately afterwards an offer of a glass of dessert wine at the house's expense as a plaster on the wound. Total price affordable. The one wine was not much to brag about, but that may very well have to do with taste and pleasure. I think it was a bit expensive, but that doesn't detract from the total. All in all a top experience.
Top service and excellent food, ...this time too!
After an extended stay visiting the restaurant, we made another visit. The atmosphere was the same as before, the service was if possible even better and the food we were served was of the best quality. This is something worth looking into.
Brasserie Blanche delivers - again!
We celebrated our son's 30th birthday and asked the kitchen for a proposal for a 5-course menu. - And they did that to the fullest. The scallops were magical, best ever. Followed by cod, beef jerky, oven-baked cheese with truffle to finish with chocolate cake with sorbet ice cream. Associated wines. Top service, - recommended
A gem in Oslo
The location is beautiful, very refined and intimate. Perhaps among the best restaurants in Oslo. The professionally prepared tartare, the simply divine entrecote, accompanied by the bernaise sauce made the culinary experience unforgettable. The staff was impeccable, present and kind.
Steer away
When a restaurant has starters for NOK 2-300 and main courses for NOK 300+, you should expect a high standard. The waiter first spilled a glass of cremant, said he would make sure we got more, but never did. After that, there was a rather inflexible performance, where wishes were forgotten and the serving was abrupt and disruptive. The starter: the crayfish was overcooked until it was gruel in consistency, with little thought added to the butter and herb mixture. Main course: duck breast, meat with a lot of chewing resistance and tough skin, 4-5 thin slices were disappointing in terms of quantity. But when it was so badly cooked, it didn't matter. The potato was fried beyond recognition, tasted rancid and was hard. We also had a risotto at the table that looked like scrambled eggs and was served as a blob on a flat plate, indelicate. Dessert: creme brulee. It was good for the most part, but the lid was burnt until it tasted bitter. All in all, steer clear. It should be said that there was a wedding at the same time, but if the restaurant is unable to deliver to the standard if they have large parties, then they should look. I could have cooked all the dishes better myself and I am an amateur. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had in Oslo.
