This was recommended to me by my hotel receptionist while staying in the seaport area for a conference. The review is for the cocktails only- unfortunately the kitchen had closed by the time I arrived although the menu looked to be promising. It's definitely a winner for your preferred poison!!! Some of the most interesting cocktails I've ever tried, with very unique ingredients and very fun names, whose origin stories would probably be just as intriguing. As a Virgo, I had to try the cocktail of the same moniker and really loved it- the hibiscus flavor really popped. The "if you ain't first..." was definitely a first for me in terms of flavor- hard to describe but it sure was one of a kind. Barkeeps were a bit distracted but friendly enough. The scene was dark lounge. Be prepared to amass a fair charge for these drinks, although you won't be displeased.

My wife and I tried Sunday brunch at Committee this past weekend. We ordered the strawberry shortcake pancakes, Greek omelette, and lamb hash. The lamb sweet potato hash was really tasty and had a great flavor. The omelette was kind of bland but the roasted potatoes had a nice crisp and season. The shortcake pancakes were nice and fluffy and great for sharing. It is definitely on the pricier side for brunch but the atmosphere and service were good as well as the food.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing experience overall.
Good food, good people, good ambiance. It was my first time here and I will be coming back. We got the zucchini crisps, lamb meatballs, patatas bravas, and the feta. For drinks we got a fabulous all natural Greek white wine and 2 of their unique cocktails. Our waitress was amazing and sang our friend happy birthday for her 21st. And we got a complimentary dessert!! Can't wait to come back for more.

Last week, on March 6th, I went to committee meeting and lost my passport there. I am coming from Tahiti, which is very far from Boston, and my visa is in my passport. Realizing the gravity of the situation, I immediately called them the next day. They informed me it was there; we had a thorough exchange to confirm it was indeed my passport (European, with specific details only I could provide). The relief I felt was immense. Unfortunately, I was only able to come to the restaurant yesterday March 14th to pick it up and once I arrived, they told me they couldn't find it and that they were going to "look around" to try to find it, I gave them my number so they could provide me with an update. Today I reached out again for an update since there was complete silence on their end. But what I encountered was beyond shocking. The manager's attitude was the peak of rudeness. Despite explaining that their team had acknowledged finding my passport, I was met with cold, dismissive responses. 'Someone probably threw it away,' he said casually, as if it was nothing. I was stunned. How could someone just 'throw away' something as crucial as a passport? His chilling reply, 'I've seen people do worse,' only added to my shock. Also, the absurd suggestion that my passport might have been 'mistaken for a credit card' or lost in their 'messiness' is not just bewildering but utterly unacceptable. How can such negligence and lack of empathy even be real? I understand this is not the restaurant's responsibility if I have lost my passport there, but this isn't just about a lost passport anymore. In the hospitality industry, where care and service should be paramount, I was shocked by the lack of basic human empathy and professionalism from someone in a position of responsibility. The manager's behavior wasn't just unhelpful; it was outright disrespectful and dismissive of a serious situation.

Came alone asked security in the back to watch my stuff while I'm in the bathroom. Came out and security is on IT! Fan Friggen tastic service of a guy taking my seat and drinking my beer! Security Politely asking them to leave without issue. Loved it.
Be the first to ReplyGood mix of mezzes.
Love the eggplant and spinach pie was done differently with no layers of filling but a moist spinach mound encased by pastry. Good drinks but very loud and so crowded. Not a place to really talk.

Second time here for brunch and was better than the first! The shakshouka is always a must, the banana bread toast was so yummy, my boyfriend LOVED the lamb burger, loved the potatoes that came with it, and we got complimentary muffins that were also great! Came here as a birthday brunch celebration and the service was so sweet! Atmosphere is great to catch up with friends, a lot of lighting with the big windows. Would want to try their dinner menu next!
Be the first to ReplyWhen we showed up to Committe the doorman was super rude.
He told us to wait in line in the rain when there was literally no one in the club. When we asked him about it, he yelled at us, jumped out of the doorway, almost getting in our face. The music also sounded terrible. I would suggest going to Scorpion Bar next door. Better music and the staff are really nice.

Welcome to the bizarro land of Seaport where the traditional considerations of cost and return is deemed irrelevant and the roads are planned for cars and lobby couches. In this twilight zone of a neighborhood, supermarket hummus becomes $16, a half plate of overcooked lamb becomes a "feast" and an empty, uninspired bar is constantly "at capacity". Witness servers who probably get paid less than the hummus costs (which maybe isn't that bizarro...) take it out on customers. Be shocked as those customers continue to come back and give this place better ratings than the goddamn museum they came for. Be amazed as an absolutely fantastic cuisine is bleached of everything that makes it interesting and served up at $40 a plate. And then, you know, stay away forever. How is this place still around?
Be the first to ReplyInteresting experience here on a recent Saturday night.
I came in a group of 8, and despite there being open tables, we were asked to form a line in front for about 10 minutes... I'm assuming to maybe make it look like it was busier? Once we got inside and found a table, we got drinks. They were decent, but nothing special. I had gotten the Wonka Chocolate PB one which I assumed would be sweet with notes of peanut butter but really was just a whiskey on the rocks. Still good, but not what I was expecting.

The food is ALWAYS good! We like to sit at the bar, but it's nice to sit at the regular tables as well. The service is always good, very attentive and friendly. The restaurant has a fun feel, great for a date, dinner with friends, or a drink with coworkers.

The food at committee was delicious! There were lots of options for shared place so it's a great place to go with a group and try a bunch of things. The drinks are also very good and interesting with unique flavor combinations, but are quite expensive ($18+ per drink). There is a lot of sitting and communal tables, which provided a nice ambiance but isn't the most comfortable seating. Some of the seating is in low couch like seats which look nice but are hard to eat from. The bar area is also a very nice vibe - it's crowded but not too loud and it's very possible to have conversations. The service was great - I've never had my water filled as fast or as many times!
