Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant Rolling Meadows Reviews from The Last Year
Coopers Hawk is a casual, and dark ambient restaurant
Coopers Hawk is a casual, and dark ambient restaurant perfect for dates, meet ups, and hangouts with friends. Everyone is very nice and welcoming, and our waitress was kind. Very kind and had amazing service. We were seated right away, and it wasn't too crowded (6/10). It's pretty spacious and I love the architecture. Dim and relaxing, similar to Cheesecake Factory, but fancier. We had a great time and we waited for our main courses for about 40 minutes. We had a party of 7. The food looked amazing, and the presentation was on point. Looked appetizing and nothing atypical was found on any of our dishes. My dish was the Bleu Burger with Onion Strings. I got it medium rare, and they got that right. The fries were good, warm and fresh, on the thicker side, and it came with ketchup. Could have been saltier, and it wasn't very crunchy. The burger came with a roasted garlic aioli which tasted amazing, but the burger however could have been better. It was cooked to perfection but the bun to meat ratio wasn't even. It lacked flavor. Luckily the bleu cheese and crispy onion strings added a bit of flavor, but it want enough. I have made my own burgers at home that were better. In conclusion, this experience had led me to believe that Coopers Hawk is overpriced, overhyped, and mediocre. I wouldn't come back here. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Stopped in for a few drinks and dinner tonight! Bridgette & Kelly were working the front bar and provided us with EXCEPTIONAL service! Their wine and cocktail recommendations were hits and my friend and I both loved it! Strongly recommend visiting Cooper's Hawk Winery in Arlington Heights & even signing up for a Wine Club Membership if you're a local!!!

Ambience - holy crap! This place is HUGE! Didn't take the Winery portion seriously til we walked in and saw a wine-tasting operation in full swing in the large lobby! The check-in point for the food (which is really why we came, of course!) was on the far left inside - we checked in; had to wait about 3 minutes to be seated, and had a fantastic meal - here goes. Pretzel bread - baked to perfection, this complimentary break wowed us! A joy to eat for sure. The wine- Cooper's Hawk Red Blend and Pinot Noir - I preferred the red blend, while hubby enjoyed the Pinot - very good flavors for both! Hub-hub had the Surf & Turf with Churrasco steak and drunken shrimp w/Mary's potato's (essentially mashed taters, folks). Did he like it? Oh, lord. He ate everything. Yes, I'm pretty sure he liked it :) I had the Surf & Turf with Churrasco steak and the Atlantic Salmon. Ok - now I love me a good salmon. but the glaze they put on the salmon was oh, way too sweet. Now I didn't ding 'em for that. It just wasn't to my taste is all. Doesn't mean the restaurant is bad. They had too many other choices for this to bother us. I had Debbie's potatoes- shredded taters with cheese and cream. Oh, SO decadent! The Churrasco steak was typical of the breed - slightly rubbery. I think I'll go for a different cut next time - but it WAS tasty, so no issues there! Service- now considering how huge this place is, I think they probably had 30 servers running around the floor while we were there. She was just great. It was a bit too noisy - but we WILL come again - try it for a special occasion - apparently our neighbors do, as this place is perenially popular - and with good reason!

in the tasting room are the absolute best. Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and perfect service. This is a standout tasting room for Coopers Hawk!

Visit the restaurant Saturday with a friends, we had awesome time. Great food and pleasant service. We had our meal at the bar. The young lady (Kelly) really made sure we had a wonderful experience. I will be back.... BK

I had an enjoyable meal here with my parents while I was visiting the area. This place was very busy even on a Thursday but we managed to be seated 15 minutes earlier than with our reservation. I'd recommend booking one just to be on the safe side. Cooper's Hawk offers a more relaxed wine bar atmosphere with a wide assortment of food options to pair it with. I ordered the gnocchi carbonara (~$28 per their website). The dish was prepared well and the sauce was delicious. I paired it with the Cooper's hawk ale (~$7.50) which was refreshing and enjoyable as well. The food was great, service was really a notch above your average restaurant, and the drinks were really enjoyable as well. I hope someday we get some locations down in Texas but if you are lucky enough to live near one I'd check out for a fun happy hour.

Great service and love that you can have a wine tasting
Great service and love that you can have a wine tasting while you wait for your table to be ready. Of course the wine tasting is not free, but you can try 8 different types of wines for under $20 dollars. They also offer membership clubs that gives you free wine every month. Our waiter was phenomenal he was so charismatic, attentive, and super fast with service. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic meal with your love one, or family and friends. The pretzel bread was nice and warm and it tasted delicious. We also had the carne asada flat bread and it was delicious, nice and thin and so tasty. The dinner salad had a great taste with the house ceaser basil dressing. The Leonard burger was on point and the seasoned French fries were great compliments. Will definitely be back!
Decent is the adjective for this place.
Food was good not great. Wine was fine for Illinois wine. I had a flight with a Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, cab and Malbec. All were drinkable but unremarkable. I'd say it's a bit overpriced for what it is. Place is decent.
Another Great time out with the Girls
Great food and service. Consistent quality and excellent dishes at all the locations I’ve been to. Wheeling, Orlando, Palm Beach Wine club members too.
Do not throw large expensive events at this location. You will be disappointed with terrible follow up from management
We had my brothers wedding reception at this location recently and the entire experience has made my family and I never want to go back. My whole family loves Coopers Hawk and we are very loyal to the business and Burr Ridge location. However due to the event space and having another event here in previous years we wanted to have my brothers small intimate wedding reception here. It was less than impressive and terrible disappointing. The assistant manager was awful and lied to us instead of trying to mend the situation. It was all a very hurtful and extremly disheartening. My parents are ambassador members and they were treated terribly. I will be canceling my monthly membership as well due to the events. I would NOT recommend this Arlington Heights location for anything but maybe dinner and a small event like a baby shower. They are not equipped for much more and the staff made it very known how unhappy they were and over worked they were. Do Not throw large expensive events here. Shauna Bose
Relaxing atmosphere
You can taste 8 kinds of wine for $13. It’s very good deal. The stuffs kindly explain about wine, so we can enjoy wine more. Food is also delicious.
