Drake & Morgan at King's Cross London Reviews from The Last Year
Definitely a place to visit and return to.
This restaurant is great if you're travelling to/from St Pancras station. We visited a show in Stratford and booked Drake & Morgan for a meal on the way home. From the initial online enquiry until we left the restaurant everything was so well organised. We pre-ordered online and were presented with reminder cards of our orders when we sat down - a brilliant touch for a large group booking. There's a great vibe downstairs too where you can stay a while after eating. We will certainly be back.
Great for hens!
Highly recommend drake and Morgan in King’s Cross!! Such a good venue for a hen do. We did the cocktail master class Hannah and it was lovely!!

Hen Do / Cocktail Making & Drinks
Came here for my hen do - great experience! Would definitely recommend. Hannah did our cocktail making class and was amazing.
Nice atmospheric bar!
I went here for an evening drink and it had a nice relaxing atmosphere, especially outside with the heaters and blankets on a slightly chilly April evening. Friendly staff, nice decor inside.
Love my Friday nights at Drake and Morgan
Felice is the best bartender, great service, very polite and funny. Great conversation and banter, while preparing the best drinks.
Beautiful evening meal
We had SUCH an amazing time! We went as a group of 10 women of different ages for a hen do and the team were so helpful and kind and attentive. They were very helpful during the booking process and double checked all of our pre-ordered food. They were incredibly accommodating with the group’s accessibility needs. The food was SO good and the drinks were lovely. The atmosphere was perfect - including the decor etc. They were helpful when we wanted to wait a little longer for dessert and they even gave the bride to be Prosecco on the house! We were then shown to a table downstairs in their bar where the staff continued to be lovely. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone! Thank you for making our evening so special :)
Expected better
I really liked the decor but the food was nothing special. Even though the restaurant is pet-friendly they should remain on the floor. One customer had their dog standing on their lap with it’s paws on the table, how unhygienic.
Abusive bartender and negligent staff
Whilst at the bar waiting on drinks the bartender that was making my drinks stopped to pull the hair of a girl that was waiting to be served, whilst her back was turned. She turned around and was obviously taken aback and the bartender was immediately defensive insisting it was a joke and telling her to calm down (she was perfectly calm and did not once raise her voice) His tone was aggressive and his behaviour was erratic. The whole situation was bizarre. I asked her if she knew him (because why would he just pull a random customer’s hair for no reason?) she said no and we agreed it was strange. He then started shouting at me telling me not to talk to her. He continued to goad her, telling her to “call the police then” if she couldn’t take the ‘joke’. The situation was extremely uncomfortable. When I checked again if she was okay he then shouted that he wasn’t serving me anymore (I don’t think he had made progress with even one drink in the time I’d been at the bar). The situation was so uncomfortable for me as a mere bystander so I can’t imagine how she must have felt. We then tried to raise it with the host on duty. Her first words in response to us telling her what had happened were “I know him, and he’s a really respectful guy” this says it all. He then proceeded to intervene our conversation with the host by berating the girl and again telling her to call the police if she can’t take a joke. The fact the staff weren’t surprised by his bizarre behaviour tells me he does things like this regularly and his employers condone it. His behaviour would suggest he was drunk or under other substances (he poured a shot for himself and me before even making my drinks (before all of this happened) and said to down it) After this all unfolded I went back to my friends and we left without ordering as we were really uncomfortable with the bartender’s behaviour and let down by the response from the other member of staff. Not sure what could rectify this - the problem obviously runs deep if him and other staff members know they can treat customers like this and nothing will happen
