Capella Singapore demonstrated unbridled luxury. It is absolutely sublime, super luxe and mega relaxing. We stayed in the Hotel itself, but the villas with their private plunge pools are also pretty special. The staff address you by name from the moment you enter, and predict every whim before you even think of it. The Hotel Manager Roman Angulo is an extraordinary leader of a truly beautiful team of people. Special shout of to Manish from the pool and breakfast area - he couldn't have done more for us - juices - water - cocktails - towels - newspapers - and that big smile. If you're looking for extraordinary - then you've found it.
Perfection
In my 20+ years as a road warrior, I have had the opportunity to stay at a wide variety of hotel/resort properties across the world. For my wife and my 35th wedding anniversary we decided to layover in Singapore for 5 days on our way to Bali. Having never been to Singapore it would have been easy to stick with a global brand, but we wanted something more intimate so we chose Capella located on Sentosa Island (15 min. /$10 taxi ride to/from downtown). If you want an urban Singapore experience, by all means I’m sure there are other good hotels in the city, but if you want the convenience of the city while staying at a quiet, restful, beachfront estate to decompress at, this is the place. From our first encounter with the reception team, to the final encounter at check-out, we were exquisitely cared for every step of the way. At every encounter across the property we were greeted by name and everyone genuinely seemed to want the best possible experience for us. When one of the Culture Team (they’re Concierge’s) found out our bags were lost in transit, they quickly delivered “care packages” to us to help us get through until we could buy some necessities. No matter where you went, the staff knew who you were and wanted to take the time to get to know you and find some way to be of service or make your experience even better. This kind of service excellence starts with strong leadership (Robyn & Bastian were both gracious, knowledgeable and humble) and then it takes selecting great people to build a a strong team that are all aligned on the client experience. While this was our first stay at a Capella, it won’t be our last and we couldn’t thank everyone enough.
Memorable experience. An oasis of tranquility and relaxation.
We ended our stay in Singapore with two nights at the hotel, where the experience we had put a final touch of pleasant memories. The architecture and layout of the hotel means that once you have arrived you feel totally alien to what is happening in Singapore, you are in the middle of nature, in a dream place and with attentive but non-intrusive service that anticipates your needs. Magnificent and enormous rooms, in our case with sea views, and with all the necessary amenities and with effective automation of the closing of curtains and blinds that allows the light to be adapted to each person's taste. Huge shower. The hotel was full, but you didn't notice it, it has several pools, many places to retire, and one goes unnoticed. Powerful breakfast, and magnificent meals at the Fiamma by Mauro Colagreco restaurant, and the Cassia restaurant with Cantonese cuisine. The location of the hotel on a very leafy area allows for a considerable habitat for birds that can be seen without hardly moving. To finish, a super professional, friendly and well-trained staff, thanking the magnificent attention received from the Hotel Manager, Roman, who guided us, showed us the hotel and made our stay a total success, and created many desires to return for more days. I recommend it as a complement to a stay in the center of Singapore, or as the end of a trip, cruise or expedition through the region. Great hotel.
Customer journey was fabulous
Visited last April 2023 for my birthday. Forgotten to write the review till I booked another stay later this year and looking forward to it. Was upgraded to 1 bedroom villa with GHA membership and just nice for my birthday celebration. There were complimentary cake and welcome amenities. Balloons and pretty ones. Even the next day at the breakfast restaurant, the staff also knew it was my birthday and brought me a slice of cake too. This is indeed good customer experience. Was a fantastic stay and stay tune for the next upcoming stay review.
Truely Memorable Experience
The service and staff make this one of the most enjoyable luxury hotel experiences you will ever have - just go! The natural beauty and tranquillity are the perfect balance for the hustle and bustle of downtown SIngapore. That said this is the perfect location from which to explore Singapore and is only a 15min Taxi from the harbour, Raffels or 20min to Chinatown. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are so very well appointed, but the food and service are what really set this property apart. The breakfast is different level with options for every taste. The team however are what takes the experience up a level. Jason ( Arasu) and his team made every effort to make our stay special, it was my Birthday during our stay and they all made it so special with everything from cakes to balloons. The extended team at the pool especially Samuel were so attentive and nothing was any trouble. Everywhere we went in every restaurant the team were aware of mt wife being vegetarian and provided appropriate menus, options and recommendations with no prompting or reminding. Those touches are what makes this a must-visit hotel. We too many experiences to mention them all but it was a truly memorable 6 days, if you are looking for the balance of relaxation and tranquility with access to all that SIngapore has to offer the Capella Sentosa is an exceptional choice.

First time in over 10 years!
On this Singapore tour, I'm revisiting hotels I've been to in the past and long ago. Each staff member is very attentive, and I can see that the hotel puts its customers first. However, perhaps because it's becoming more popular or a little outdated, there were a few things that bothered me. There was a power outage due to thunder, but it didn't take long to restore, but there was no particular support. Perhaps because we went to eat after the power was restored, breakfast was packed and we had to wait about 20 minutes. This is the first time I've been to a hotel like this that costs about 200,000 yen a night. The lobby is small, and I feel that it's not a hotel that can accommodate a large number of people at once. By the way, the food, both the breakfast buffet and dinner FIMAA, were very delicious.
An amazing experience!!!
We were greeted by Adoncia and Erin upon our arrival at the lobby, and they showed us an excellent example of how amazing of an experience we were going to have! Although there was a slight lineup at the counter for checking in, they made sure our family was comfortable by serving us iced lemonade and towels. When it was our turn to check in, they did an excellent job of explaining the various amenities that Capella had to offer, as well as the dining locations and hours. They then showed us our rooms, and explained patiently how we could use the iPads to control the lighting, curtains, and also order any food or refreshments as well as ask for help. Lastly, they kindly let us know that the AC would be turned off if we kept the doors open. To surprise us before they leave, they also delivered delicious macarons for us to enjoy in our rooms! Despite the large amount of questions I had peppered them, they remained friendly and helpful with me and my family throughout the entire check in process, and we are very grateful to have Adoncia and Erin help us settle into Capella!
Favourite hotel
We always enjoy the personal touches laid out with the turn down services. We enjoy the breakfast immensely (miss having the peacocks around but understand that could be for hygiene reasons). We return year after year because the Capella is tranquil, pristine & the no other hotel offers the afternoon high tea which we always utilise if we are having a day by the pool. Fantastic facilities, service and friendly/attentive staff. Definitely going back again.
Most Attentive Staff
Have been to many luxury hotels like this one but it is one of the best in the world for a reason. Their staff, their attention to detail is outstanding. Every small thing which you want in your room was taken care of. 24/7 available and really cooperative staff adds to the experience. Do try their spa as well. Had one of the best treatments there.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
