Fulton St. Bistro & Bar New Orleans Reviews from The Last Year
Very poor service for an expensive hotel
For the price I paid for this hotel, I expected much better service. Do not recommend it. Not sure what was going on with housekeeping - I had to ask reception on three different days to ensure that housekeeping came to clean the room that day, and in one of these days housekeeping still didn't show up. One of the receptionists was a handful - passive-aggressive and raising their voice at times. Experienced things like them not wanting to allow me to use my pre-paid breakfast voucher because I never made it the day of the reservation (flights were delayed until the next day) and them making a fuss when I asked for items in the bill to be divided between two different credit cards. Last but not least, the regretful experience of eating and drinking at the hotel. I was at a conference and needed the convenience and speed of eating breakfast at the hotel. The kitchen would take forever to send meals when they were ordered from the menu (and they still arrived cold and long after other clients, who arrived much later, had already received their food). The $28 breakfast buffet was faster, but the hot food was always cold (once it was even from the day before). Top it off with a bartender that decided to ignore what I'd asked them to make me and instead made me pay for a cocktail which was not what I ordered.
Location great, everything else not so much
Stayed here for a convention. Great location for that. Easy walk to lots of restaurants, museums, bars etc. Front desk and door man were friendly and helpful checking in and out. Wi-Fi, bed, TV, all fine. Lots of lighting issues in room. Dim to start out with but several bulbs burned out. Asked front desk several times to replace. Each time they took the information down and said engineering would come by. They never did and I ended up moving bulbs around the room to where I needed lighting. The towels etc were sometimes pretty beat. One shower rug was worn so thin it had holes in it. One towel had giant black smudges as if it had been used to clean machinery or shoes. Evidence of a past leak from the bathroom above over the sink light fixture. Drywall etc not repaired or painted.
A little gem off the beaten path
We were in New Orleans for a conference. Our hotel was oversold so we booked at the Omni. I would say it was a blessing. The staff were attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean and stocked. Staying during Mardi Gras could have been a nightmare but we had no issues. Pam and Leonard (?) at the bar/ food area were beyond helpful.
enjoyed our stay
Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was great and very available. They have a nice little bar to enjoy a drink. We did not eat at the restaurant though. Convenient and walkable to an incredible number of great restaurants and entertainment.
Great Staff, economy feel
I was not pleased with the look and feel of this hotel. It felt as though I had seriously overpaid for an economy style family inn. The staff, however, made up immensely for this. They were accommodating, friendly, welcoming, and professional! If I could take them with me to every stay across the globe I would. Great customer service!
Perfect stay close to cruise terminal.
We booked at the Omni Riverfront the night before our cruise and we are so happy that we chose this hotel. Itโs an historic building beautifully kept with great room choices. Our group had 5 rooms booked and everyone had different choices for the type of room they wanted. Ours was a room with great view of the port across the street so when we woke up, we could see our cruise ship! The king room was spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. We walked to restaurants close by and in the French Quarter for lunch and dinner but had drinks and snacks at the bar before going out as well as when we returned that evening. Great friendly bartender as well as friendly staff at front desk. We had breakfast in the restaurant on Sunday with option of a buffet or a la carte menu and everyone was happy with the food and service. We were so close to the port, we just walked across the street to Julia terminal for boarding! Great spot that we would highly recommend!
NOLA
Business and birthday weekend trip. Have stayed at the Omni Riverfront several times and it has yet to let us down. Quality staff all the way from valet to front counter. Dining was also excellent. Super clean
Perfect Place
The Omni Riverfront was the perfect place for me to stay while attending a conference. The hotel is clean, quaint and beautiful in unique architecture. The staff was attentive and friendly. I would stay here again! Great location!
Wonderful Hotel
Loved this hotel. Definitely want to stay there again. Super clean and the service at all hours was amazing! Stayed there for 4 nights and came in after midnight and the staff was very welcoming. Breakfast every morning in the restaurant and by day 3 the waitress started automatically bringing me coffee when I sat down, Hotel was decorated for Mardi Gras and that was nice having never been to New Orleans.
I got a glass a wine.
Was given a menu and told to let them know if I wanted to order anything but no one came back. It wasn't busy but perhaps they need to work on their customer service. Update: I had breakfast here the next day. It definitely seems like their forte. For the buffet there are custom omelette sand a great selection of hot and cold items, juices, coffee, and pastries. I really like it. Service was fast and attentive. The opposite of last night.
