Harry's Bar Venezia Reviews
10/10!
This was a fantastic experience! I was first caught by the breadth of the menu, and then the food cameโwhich was equally great! I highly recommend for a traditional (e.g., liver and onions and rice) dinner or a modern twist (e.g., Seabass pasta).
A Bellini and olives โ stop and enjoy
A delightful stop along the grand canal. The cozy atmosphere, combined with the storied history of the bar make it a must stop. Grab a Bellini and have some olives โ if itโs overcrowded, come back later. I thought it was lovely

After many years of not having been at this Harry's location, it was a pleasure and surprise that somethings stand the test of time and taste! The service was excellent (a difficult task in Venice!), the food delicious and the drinks wonderful.
Lost its direction
We have eaten at Harryโs Bar on a number of previous visits to Venice and have always enjoyed the experience. We recognised that it was expensive but felt that the price was worth paying for an enjoyable meal in a piece of Venetian dining history.
Disgusting
Stopped in for lunch and left hungry. I ordered a club sandwich which was so disgusting I couldnโt eat it. The chicken was dry, one piece of lettuce and a nauseating amount of mayonnaise. I donโt mind over priced food but when it is this bad it i
Not cool anymore
Nothing really Special! Loud, old, not cool, only tourists. The food was not bad but extraordinary expensive. As the city is completely in US und right Now expect loud groups with no respect for others.
Packed and overpriced
The other reviews sum it up pretty well. Incredibly overpriced 35 euros for a minestrone soup, 22 euros for a Bellin, although this doesn't seem to put people off it was packed on a Wednesday evening. The bar and ground floor was packed. We were
Half decent food, overpriced with obnoxious clientele. Expected better.
Made a reservation as it was recommended to reserve. Was rushed to a quiet table upstairs. Nice menu choices. Staff were friendly and attentive (perhaps a little over attentive). Food was ok to taste but overpriced. Drinks are overpriced, but decent
Give it a miss
Visited on a Friday afternoon for a drink. We were shown to a table and then totally ignored. I had to ask for the drinks menu, the young man who greeted us (in the loosed of terms) was clearly talking about us to the bar man. I ended up going to
I had to go.
I mean, if you've read anything from the 20th century classics, probably one of the authors had a drink here. Or a lot of them. The place is kind of sterile, frankly, looking like a forgotten. The tables are sort of pushed around kind of haphaz

Wouldn't have minded the "snooty" service as another reviewer commented but the Bellinis were not good and overpriced w only a hint of peach flavour. We popped in our last day in Venice as we like frequenting legendary hotels and bars

A relative recommended we stop here to enjoy the original Bellini they invented. We worked diligently trying to make dinner reservations months in advance. They only make them on open table 14 days in advance. We secured them for our third night
Avoid Harry's Bar Venice
As a widely-travelled liquor industry professional for more than 30 years, I found Harry's Bar dishonest and lacking service. Supposedly famous for the peach Bellini, it failed badly. Although fresh peaches were available, the peach concoction c
So not worth it! Harryโs was billed as the top restaurant in Venice, but if this is as good as it gets, Venice is a very sad place to eat. The food was good, but way over priced. Our waiters were inattentive. It was noisy and they allowed a dog in
Wow,what a place and the atmosphere! Bellini cocktail is unreal!! Amazing service! I will definitely be back! Thank you.
Pants for men?? It's 92 degrees outside in Venice you bozo.
Grow with times or die. Didn't look great inside anyways before I was removed.

My family and I just had the most degrading experience at Harry's bar this evening. I had reviewed the dress code before we walked by the establishment to take some photos. I read that men had to wear long pants and dress coats in order to enter

Tourist trap! Came here to try a few drinks in this famous bar. Started with 2 Bellinis. Tasted good but came in a glass not much bigger than a shot glass. Next we ordered a whiskey sour and a rum and coke. The sour also came in the small glass and w
Went for drinks! They did not disappoint.
We got the classic Bellini and it came with olives. Nice place to stop, hang out and feel like you're experiencing something special. Service was great and fast! People were turned away for not being in dress code - no shorts!
The original.
You don't come here for the food. You don't come for the service. You come for the history and the Bloody Mary. Sit at the bar. Watch the people. Dress appropriately. No shorts. Stop being American, you're embarrassing me. A mid-wester
Fantastic historic spot.
A must see while in Venice. Read about its history. Try the Bellini and Carpaccio - both originated from this location.

We sat upstairs to avoid the noise downstairs which is very small. I really loved the formal service and the peach Bellinis. The food was excellent but it didn't blow me away as being exquisite for the price. My husband had liver and polenta and
Itโs a tradition
This is our fourth visit to Venice in over twenty years, and our fourth visit to Harryโs. For us, a trip to the city would not be complete without stopping for an overpriced drink at this famous establishment. We visited in the late afternoon and
WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN IN ITALY
This place is awful. Perhaps the worst food we have ever had in Italy. The Bellini's and food are outrageously overpriced. Staff is snobby and waiters who tend tables do not seem to understand English well or just don't care. $277.00 ($302.00 US)

I was HORRIFIED by the way we were treated from the time we stepped into the bar. I was prepared to spend a lot on drinks and lunch, but once we walked in we were rushed by a waiter and told we had only 5 minutes to decide on lunch because the kitche
Horrible AVOID! Paid 54 euros for two Bellinis.
Ordered chicken croquetas and they never came. After we finished our drinks, we waited 15 minutes, got up frustrated because everyone is so busy talking amongst staff and not paying attention to us. Had to walk up to bar and pay. Then as we do so, is
If you're expecting the Cipriani you get when you book them
If you're expecting the Cipriani you get when you book them in New York or Dubai, move on. The staff is feckless; they're trained for a clientele whose highest esteem is The Cheesecake Factory. Disgrace to the family name.
Forza Harry!
If you overlook the โฌโฌโฌ and absorb the tradition and atmosphere, Harryโs Bar has to be visited. We strolled in for a late morning Bellini, snack and coffee. De rigeur for people and staff watching! The most divine chicken sandwiches (same as
This was the worst dining experience of my life.
I'm not opposed to spending into four figures for a once in a lifetime meal, but I am opposed to horrific service. We have dined in Venice multiple times and have never felt disrespected. We ended up leaving immediately after drinks and going to an e
Words Cannot Express the Disappointment
Iโve never written a one star review for a venue or service in my entire life. Especially with the Venetian economy being so delicate and dependent on tourism, I try to go out of my way to provide any support possible. This was hands down, the wors
The service here was quite disappointing.
My husband and I were happy to enjoy a late night drink in a historic establishment, in fact we were very excited. But staff was rude the moment we walked in. Considering the delicate economy of Venice is based in tourism, and we speak Italian, we we

We were very excited to have a cocktail/Bellini at Harrys after watching Stanley Tucci Searching for Italy on MAX & the urging of friends!! Well after trekking for about 30 minutes (since GPS doesn't work so well in Venice) We were excited to see
AVOID - tourist trap
This place is so awful itโs unreal. Poor service and mediocre drinks for extortionate prices. The reviews will catch up with them at some point. Avoid it at all costs, itโs not worth the money.
Avoid, overpriced tourist trap without any history
As devotees of historical bars, we had been looking forward to visiting for years. What a disappointment, you enter into a room which appears to have lost any history years ago. Cram into a chair and attempt to gain the surly service. Drinks are serv
Harry's Bar, the original location of the global Cipriani
Harry's Bar, the original location of the global Cipriani group of restaurants, is expensive but worth every penny. The food and drinks are all exquisitely prepared. Located on the Grand Canal, a short stroll from San Marco, you cannot get a better l

Great history in this establishment but maybe share a Bellini as they cost 22euros each! Convenient location close to San Marco and the vaporetto.
The bell has tolled
25 dollars is a lot to pay for a single drink. Even if you only hang out in the super luxe bars of New York and the Cรดte dโAzur I hope that all reasonable people can agree that 25 dollarsโฆ. for โฆ. oneโฆ drinkโฆ. Is a lot. I am prepared to
This place is an icon and a must visit.
Service is great and for such a little place, everyone really makes you feel welcome. This is the place that the Bellini was invented so that's a must. It is a bit expensive but how can anyone pass up a speak easy from the past. Influenced by America
It was OUTSTANDING! Yes, โฌ22 is a lot for a Bellini but
It was OUTSTANDING! Yes, โฌ22 is a lot for a Bellini but you're paying for the experience. Outside of that (which I didn't mind - I wanted a Bellini where they were invented), you get more than you pay for. Everything, from the bread to the entrees
Iโm still thirsty!
I love visiting legendary establishments and have no qualms about paying over the odds for good food or drink. BUT I donโt like being ripped off. 24Euros for a whiskey sour that was smaller than a breakfast juice glass. Wanted to stop in for a cool
Not worth the $$$
We came here expecting the counterpart of Harryโs Bar in Paris and were sorely disappointed. Iโm sure thereโs some important/historical meaning behind this bar and the Belliniโs they kept serving but thatโs not what we were here for. The am
A lot of Hype but not a lot of room
Popped in for a Bellini just to experience it as was told itโs a must do place. It was incredibly busy (but it was a Saturday afternoon) but managed to get a table fairly quickly. Had a Bellini each and left. It was a nice Bellini but as mentioned
Rude & ignorant
Determined to visit Harryโs Bar myself & four friends left a wonderful restaurant and wound our way to this โiconicโ spot only to come face to face with a deluge of ignorance & rudeness. Almost empty and pretty dinghy, we didnโt get o
Overrated and Overcrowded
We arrived for lunch today without a reservation and were directed to one of only two tables available. Both tables were in the middle of an already overcrowded seating area. The restaurant was extremely hot and as we perused the menu we were constan

I think Harry's bar is Extremely overrated and beyond overpriced. I'd never come back. This was actually my least favorite dining experience during my 8 days in Venice.

Not worth the money!! Been there, done that!! 30 euro for a bowl of mediocre soup!! Two soups, 2 Bellini's and a bottle of water 131.00 euro!! We have had wonderful meals for half of that!!
An absolutely essential place to go.
..... Wonderful ambience, welcoming waitstaff, delicious drinks etc and Earnest Hemingway practically lived here during his writing years! You can feel the presence of so many historical figures and enjoy the pleasure yourself in present day Venice!
We went to Harry's Bar while in Venice.
We had the Bellinis and slice of cake. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. It was crowded. But we were able to get a table. Service was good Bellinis and cake were spot on.
Best bar I have ever been to.
Period the people that work here are the best of the best at what they do, and they work hard and maintain an ambience of class and execute to perfection.
