How To Cook A Wolf Seattle Reviews from The Last Year

tried this place for restaurant week! it's super cute and very intimate. we had made a reso, which i highly recommend doing because even on a weekday night, it was quite busy. they have indoor and outdoor seating, but it is a small space so not very many seats. you can rack up a pretty tall bill eating here. for me the dishes were hit or miss. we ordered the bone marrow, which came with two bones, but not a lot of stuff to go around for 4 of us. the bread it came with was crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. we also got the cauliflower, which came with a sweet beet (?) sauce. wasn't anything all to special about it, the cauliflower wasn't that flavorful either. the steak tartare was fantastic though, jam packed with flavor, salty, and had a heaping portion of ikura on top, and i loved the cracker that it came with too! the arancini balls were also delicious, it had a creamy savory rice filling. for entrees we got the steak, which was okay, not the best cut of steak ive the pork was also okay, the stuffed pasta was not my favorite, it had a sweet filling and a savory sauce, which was a but strange. the pastas were cooked well though, nice and al dente. i liked the other fun-shaped pasta we got, it had big chunks of sausage and a really delicious sauce that had a little kick to it. the panna cotta we got for dessert was good, it came with this really great shortbread crumble, which honestly should be on the menu because i wanted more of it!!!

How to Cook a wolf is one of my favorite restaurants on the Queen Anne area. The food is tasty and refined, the service is amazing with some of the kindest people I've ever met, and the Ambiance is so relaxing.
Fantastic anniversary meal at HTCAW.
We were made comfortable outside with foot and table heating. Our waitress was nice and pleasant, even giving us tips to recreate the fantastical fennel pollen honey butter. We sat at 4:20 and a wrong app was sent and then we didn't have our water carafe returned (I went for one myself eventually)...no big deals but it happened. The bread is a must, just a delight all around. I would try something other than the cauliflower--I like mine more roasted, though it was a beautiful plate. The kale salad is tender and flavorful while also being too salty for my taste with the bread crumbs. The pickled cherries were delicious. The mains were what brought us in and would def bring us back--no notes on the steak combo. The halibut was perfectly cooked, just less of those breadcrumbs in the future...so many salty breadcrumbs. The panna cotta was creamy, just like at Tavolata, and while we asked for the compote on the side, it wasn't a rhubarb compote but a raspberry and blueberry compote. The cheesecake had lovely crispies that were the star of the dish. The chocolate is nice. We will return here for sure and are inspired to branch out into more ESR places. (Mkt was one of the best meals of my life during SRW and introduced me to ESR but they're no longer in the group.)
This place is very ok.
We ordered the kale salad, steak tartare, tonnarelli carbonara, and gnocchi. All of it was fine but nothing spectacular. We also had several drinks; the smoke swindler was our favorite. The actual restaurant is cute, and the service was good. I just expected more considering the reviews.

Great ambiance and wait staff but food and drink was extremely average. Think a mediocre kind of off tasting cocktail in a fancy glass, mediocre pasta and burrata plated to look tastier than it actually is. Not worth the price tag, but come here if you want to Instagram your happy hour
The food, drinks, service and ambiance were all really
The food, drinks, service and ambiance were all really impressive. We will definitely be returning.
We went to the restaurant in Madison Park for my daughter
We went to the restaurant in Madison Park for my daughter in law's birthday. It was fabulous. I just kept saying "I want to come back here every time I come to visit". Andrea was our server and she was AWSOME. She gave us recommendations and the food was beyond good. Some of my favorite things were the ravioli, the Caesar salad and leave room for the cannoli for dessert - because it is the best you'll ever have. It's a pretty small place but so so nice. I can't wait to go back.
Visited on Valentine's Day and ordered from their Wolfie
Visited on Valentine's Day and ordered from their Wolfie Valentine prix fixe menu, which included four shared appetizers, choice of pasta, choice of main, and choice of dessert. Steak tartare - it was okay, but pretty bland and under seasoned. Kind of had to rely and the salt flakes on the cracker for seasoning. I also wish the crackers were thicker, or that there were a couple more of them. Ahi crudo - pretty good, sauces were tasty and well balanced! Delicata squash with goat cheese - this was my favorite of the appetizers. Well cooked, slightly caramelized. Burrata with beets & kumquat - beets and kumquats were sweet and sour, which complemented the creamy burrata really well. Duck pappardelle - pasta was overcooked, so it was kind of mushy. Sauce was a bit plain, but duck was nice and tender. Black trumpet tagliatelle - well cooked, and tasty! Huge portion, we ended up taking some home to save space for the main course. Scallops - sadly also overcooked, so they were too chewy. I thought the fresh blood orange slices were a bit overpowering, but enjoyed all the other components. Zabuton - well cooked, but the cut was fattier than we expected. The rutabaga puree was a unpleasantly bitter. Almond frangipane torte - by far our favorite course! Delicious mix of flavors and textures. Only regret was ordering soebetto instead of two tortes. Service - overall very attentive, friendly service. The check in was not quite ideal, since there's no space inside to wait for your reservation, so we had to wait outside in the cold. Ambiance - cozy and romantic.
WOW, WOW, WOW.
.. we celebrated friend's birthday with 6 of us and was one of the best overall meals in a long time. The restaurant (Queen Anne location) is small, but cozy with a nice ambience. Our server was lovely and attentive. We went family style that allowed us a variety of options! * Sea Wolf Sourdough: This bread was divine -- the fennel honey butter needs to be a staple at my house from here on out. I could have eaten nothing but this bread and been happy. * Burrata: always a winner, even with beets * Creste di Gallo Pasta: 2 of us proclaimed this as one of the best pastas we've ever had. The pasta was pillowy soft and the light red sauce with boar and the chili crisp was incredible -- still thinking about it * Pork Osu Bucco: We were pretty full by the time this came out, but I highly recommend - the meat fell off the bone and was full of flavor. I had to pop my head into the kitchen and give the cooks a clap - can't wait to go back.
Food is outta this world.
We especially liked the gnocchi and scallops and we order extra dishes of both. Big birthday and it was absolutely perfect. Service is awesome. Drinks are slow but they work really hard making them great. Try this place. It's so expensive and totally worth it
Overrated and overpriced
I’ve wanted to try this place for years and finally came here during Seattle Restaurant Week. The service was friendly, but extremely slow. The entrees was average at best (excessively salty pasta and not any better than at any normal Italian restaurant). The whole restaurant was incredibly cold to the point where we had to keep our jackets on. To top everything off, they add a surprise 4% surcharge to the bill that’s retained entirely by the restaurant. Considering what they charge, it wasn’t worth it at all. Not recommended.
Family Style, Fun Vibe, Delicious
I loved this place. We sat outside and really enjoyed the fun vibe. Our waitress was really nice and very helpful. The food was great. Don't miss the chicken liver mousse!! We will definitely go back.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res

Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
