A Place To Love
There is a vibrancy about Lisboeta that is quite infectious. Delicious food, charming service and a huge attention to detail all springing from love and passion.
Be the first to ReplyCan't wait to visit again.
We have, in the past, loved visiting Viajante and Taberna do Mercado so a trip to Lisboeta was a must, especially now the Elizabeth line has made the trip so much easier! One thing I wasn't expecting was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, lots of smiles as we were greeted and taken to a lovely table by the windows. The food was, of course, amazing from start to finish, if I had to pick a favourite dish, it would be the bavette steak with pica pau sauce. Service was mixed. Certainly friendly and helpful but there was a loooong gap between courses at one point. On the other hand, they noticed the mistake, apologised profusely and took the cost of the next course off our bill. You can't say fairer than that and, anyone who's been in a restaurant over the last few months knows how they are all struggling with staffing and this place is still relatively new. I'm sure they will iron out any issues. Overall we loved our meal at Lisboeta and can't wait to visit again and try some other dishes.
Be the first to Replydoes not take cash
does not take cash. but they do not tell you this until you pay. there are no signs at the restaurant telling you this, its not displayed on the menu, the waiting staff do not mention it and its not on the website either.
Be the first to ReplyGreat stuff...
Been on the list for a while.. First discovered Nuno at Bacchus and then at Viajante, via Mercado along the way... Big fan of the man and his cooking. Not sure I have any words to add on this place. Food was simply excellent, service warm and friendly... Only points of note are 1) it's quite toppy.. ยฃ50 for a rice bowl for 2 seems a bit much given it's not terribly filling, and 2) although I enjoyed it, I don't yet have the same emotional bond with Portuguese cooking as I do with say, Spanish. That's more on me, and probably an excellent reason to return and explore the menu more fully...

Seems like the word is getting about the truly exceptional food at Lisboeta...and rightfully so. While barely open 4 months, the place was busy, buzzy and bustling. Between the bartenders slinging very tasty drinks, to waitstaff running beautiful dishes and the kitchen crew laser focused on their cooking. The space is simple yet refined, not unlike the food. Every course was better than the last. The standouts were the Presunto, Arroz de Marisco, Amberjack and Abade de Priscos for dessert, literally brought me to tears. One of the best meals I've had in quite a while.

We (party of 2) had a beautiful experience at Lisboeta. We made reservations in advances before our trip and places a deposit for our seat (this is very common now a days, which is understandable). We sat at the bar and had amazing services from the staff who treated us well. They recommended a great wine. We ordered about 5-6 small plates, and the large steak feature. The chef greeted us and brought us some amuse bouche. Overall we had an amazing time and will return to enjoy :)

I was looking forward to eat at this place and it didnโt disappoint. Iโm Portuguese and enjoyed every dish I tried specially the morcela/razor clams and the bolo de bolacha. All those flavours reminded me of home and I cannot wait to go back to try more dishes. Attentive staff and amazing food. :)

Quaint local restaurant with predominantly bar style seating. Maitre de was friendly and welcoming as were most of the wait staff. One server however was very unenthusiastic and wouldn't have been surprised if the meal was dropped on the table from an height. Small plates were adequate size. Mushroom aรงorda was tasty. Steak small plate was a little bland. The poached meringue was delicious. Not cheap or expensive

I called the restaurant to cancel and they then proceeded to take ยฃ100 out of my account for the cancellation. Very tight policies I will not be rebooking.
Be the first to ReplyLovely Portuguese Food
Inspired by a Times review, we booked for lunch a week before we went, on 28th May. The Copita ham looked a bit weird with a stripe of fat right across the middle of the slices. Tasted great though. The asparagus with wild garlic (Asparagus Alhada) was utterly delicious, and the Arroz de Marisco came with some giant prawns. All good. If we hadn't kicked off with negronis, had a bottle of Rui Madeira white wine from Beira, and rounded things off with coffee and a 10 Year Old Malvasia Madeira and a DโAlma Macieira XO brandy, we might have got out for about a hundred quid.
