It was a great way to get the true feel of LA. The stories, the information, the landmarks, the views… exactly what I was hoping for!
Arrived here for 7pm dinner.
Couldn't find elevator in the parking garage and ended up walking outside by mistake. You have to take the staircase to the 2nd floor to reach the elevator. The dinner took a little over 2.5 hours long. It might have been quicker but there was a

Awesome day with Big Mike
Coming all the way from Aotearoa (New Zealand), the LA Hood Tour with Big Mike was honestly one of the most authentic, grounding experiences of our trip. Growing up in NZ, we’ve always felt connected to the culture of South Central through music â€

Tried their premium menu, their inaba collab and their regular menu. It's very consistent, amazing service and friendly atmosphere. I don't see this omakase being too stuffy but YMMV because it could depend on the other guests that show up.

We've been here twice now, and the vibes and food here are nothing short of superb. Chef Yoshi honestly looks a bit serious and intimidating at first but as soon as he starts talking and introducing himself, you can tell he's very cheerful
I was able to make a reservation on Tock for a weekday.
There's only one seating each night at 7 PM, and the experience lasts nearly 3 hours. After making the reservation, the team sends an email with detailed instructions on how to find the restaurant. I'm usually bad with directions, but these
Very small restaurant.
Not easy to book. Finding entrance was kinda not easy. Great Omakase.

The quintessential hidden Little Tokyo omakase experience in the heart of DTLA. No one would've guessed that such a charming little restaurant would exist in the basement of an office building. With very limited seating, I reserved this place a month
What a treat.
We had such an intimate and delicious meal. The food and service is 100%. Just one deducted star because we sat us all the way to the side, a bit tucked in the corner and couldn't see what the chefs were doing.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Sushi Kaneyoshi Los Angeles at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Sushi Kaneyoshi Los Angeles page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Sushi Kaneyoshi Los Angeles to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Sushi Kaneyoshi Los Angeles!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
