The Fish House Pensacola Reviews from The Last Year

Discovered this restaurant while in town for work and have now been multiple times I enjoyed it so much! The service was excellent from the hostess greeting you at the door to every bartender I had been served by. The inside is very accommodating and location has plenty of parking available. Upon entering, you can see all of the famous visitors that have been to the Fish House so I knew I was in for a pleasant experience. On my first visit, I had to go some of the raw oysters followed by the Shrimp and Grits as it is one of their signature dishes. The presentation was on point and tasted as delicious as it appeared! On my next visit, I mixed it up and had the baked oyster sampler with the pecan-crusted catfish. Seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. I will be making the Fish House one of my dinner choices every time I am in the Pensacola area. Will be retuning soon and cannot wait to try what's next!
Great atmosphere at night and on the weekends.
Overlooks the water for a nice ver view. Food is kinda pricey but that's what to expect with the area.
Had an amazing meal here.
Cool location and friendly service. Highly recommend this place.

Great atmosphere overlooking the water, The Fish House has fresh seafood, sushi and friendly servers. I devoured the fried green tomatoes layered in creole sauce and topped with crawfish and a side of Mac and cheese. This southern comfort food was the perfect ending to a beautiful day spent in Pensacola.
Booked a luncheon to celebrate a birthday for 16 guests.
It was beyond great! Appetizers were shrimp cocktail, grouper bites, and Gruyรจre pimento cheese board. All were exceptional. We had a set menu for the group that included grits yaya, fish tacos, shrimp/oyster po-boy, and a few other dishes. Desert was key lime pie and chocolate cheesecake. Whole luncheon could not have gone better. Chrissy was our server and was fantastic. Logan was the event coordinator. Thank you all so much for making dad's 80th birthday so great.

First time visiting as I've heard good things about the food here. I'll start on a positive note, the food was fantastic. I got the shrimp and grits and the white Alabama sauce chicken wings. Both had some amazing flavors in them and were worth the wait. My plan was to sit at the bar and eat there and have a few drinks. That plan fell apart when I was bypassed and not greeted for about 15-20 minutes. Just looking at Rick, waiting to be asked if I wanted a drink but he kept looking past me, helping other people. Finally i just asked if I could order, you could tell he was annoyed by his body language. So I decided to just get the food to go. I wasn't spoken to the rest of the time waiting, until it was time to pay and all the sudden he was nice, expecting a tip I'd imagine. Not today. Takes no effort to be courteous and kind, maybe it was just a bad day. Not sure.
Service was good.
Food, good. One big problem they slip shellfish in to dishes without saying saying on the menu. Glad I caught it. They quickly got a replacement order without crayfish in the sauce. Put it on the menu!!!

Imo the fish house, and adjoining Atlas oyster house, are a Pensacola staple. The view both indoors and out make this a winner for both locals and visitors alike. If you feel a bit more formal the fish house side doesn't disappoint in atmosphere and menu offerings. The shrimp and grits are outstanding. If you're feeling a bit more casual, try the giant bar at Atlas oyster house side or dine outside with one of their many oyster and cocktail offerings for a dining win! Enjoy
Pre gaming for the Mardi Gras parade! The spicy fish
Pre gaming for the Mardi Gras parade! The spicy fish sandwich is a great way to get a tasty piece of grouper for half the price of the fish entrees. The remoulade sauce is great and the onion strings are a great topper .

VERDICT: Great food and service! Four of us had dinner and split two desserts and EVERYTHING was GREAT! We literally could not have had better meals, desserts, or service! PROs: - Entrees: Crispy Gulf Shrimp ($26), FOD Fish Tacos ($25), Grits & Ya Ya ($22), and Pecan-Crusted Catfish ($18). They were all so good! - Dessert: Key Lime Pie ($8) and Triple Chocolate Cheesecake ($8). Also, great! - Our waitress (Rayni K.). Very helpful. Good recommendations. CONs: - It could it could have been less expensive, but, honestly, it was so good.
