The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel Reviews from The Last Year
Overpriced
just stayed 4 nights at the Hilton with my family. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite in the Dolphin Tower. The room looked beautiful when we arrived until I saw an old skittle on the rug and also a smart watch near the end of my bed. This is disgusting as I felt my room was not vacuumed. We had two double beds in the bedroom and a pull out sofa in the other room. When we opened the sofa bed that night it was like laying on a hard grid. I called downstairs to reception and they sent up a foam cushion to put on the bed. It helped but still wasn't that comfortable because the bed caved in, in the middle. Also during the day when the bed was folded, there was no where to store the foam pad. The 2 beds were comfortable but the pillows were too firm. The rest of the room was good, I loved the room darkening shades. I was disappointed that I was unable to use the steam room in the spa unless you booked a spa service. For the extra daily rate added to the price of the room, guests should be able to use the sauna or steam room, even if you do not book a spa. They told me it was $60 extra just to use the steam room, no thanks! I checked in on a Wednesday and we were literally the only ones by the pool that day. It was very windy so we sat on the lounge chairs looking at the beach on the waterslide side. The manager came over and told us that was the reserved section and we could not sit there, even though the it was a ghost town. My family of 5 were the ONLY ones by the pool. Why would they charge so much more just to sit in those chairs? We only wanted to sit there because it was not as windy. They have waterslides by the pool which was nice for the kids but everyday they are closed for about an hour mid day so the lifeguard can take a break. This was very annoying, they should have enough staff to cover her break. Overall, I was not that impressed with the hotel for the amount of money I paid, around $600 a night. The manager should have let us stay where we were since there was no one at the pool that day. I think I'll go back to the Hyatt when I visit Huntington next. It was slightly more money but you get a lot more at the hotel. We actually went there twice for dinner and it was excellent!
Great Hotel, Great Location! Service is Amazing.
We love this hotel. The room was comfortable and had two queen beds. There is a desk area and large bathroom. The bathroom had seen better days (why they lost a star) but the beds were very comfortable. What sets this hotel apart is the staff - service is outstanding. There is a shuttle available to take you downtown or to grab some groceries for the room. There is a pool, ping pong table, two restaurants and a bar. We had a snack at the new restaurant/bar owned by Van Halen front man, Sammy Hagar and it was good. Overall, great stay.
I Love This Resort!
I have stayed at this resort a few times. I have always been happy here. The staff is so kind and welcoming. Everything from check in, to check out was flawless. Surf Hero Market place is a great place to get your morning coffee. They also have very tasty gelato. Cabo Beach Club was a great place to enjoy lunch poolside. They have great indoor seating, but I loved being outdoors. Henry's Coastal Cuisine had a great wine selection and the appetizers were delicious. On my last night of my stay, there was a small water leak in my bathroom. I called guest services, and with in minutes, they had me upgraded to a suite at no additional charge. They always go above and beyond here. I highly recommend staying here.
Great Friday night drinks!
I came on a Friday night and although the wind was a little high, Kiana made our experience exceptional. She was quick with the service and her drinks were great! I would come her during a hurricane if it meant Kiana my server
Fun in HB
We had such a wonderful stay. The room was clean and it was a perfect quick getaway. Our Valet driver went above and beyond to make a trip easy and enjoyable. The valet’s name was Angelo Catapang. Ask for him and he’ll take care of you.
Caring..helpful..
Just want to say that Jordan at the front desk blessed us with a bottle of champagne and an upgrade for our 45th anniversary. Really felt the staff enjoyed working there to make guests feel cared for....
Don’t miss this spot
My friends and I ran a 220 mile relay race Friday - Saturday morning and arrived to this location at 8:30a Saturday morning HOPING that we could 1) check in early 2) valet a HUGE 12 person sprinter passenger van and 3) find a helpful, warm, understanding, proactive staff to help 12 EXHAUSTED women navigate the lobby to the room. This staff, this hotel, this concierge and this Valet were second to NONE! Ryan (pictured) found us first - fumbling around our van looking for shoes, aspirin, wallets - and graciously took over. Took our van, helped us inside, checked our bags, and even took us to breakfast so we didn’t have to drive! Who does that???? Anyway. We will ALL be back and can’t wait to see what thoughtful, caring, new experiences await us.
Absolutely Perfect Hotel
All I can say about this hotel is perfect. Staff, Rooms, Cleanliness, Pool area, Restaurant, 3-minutes walk to beach. Absolutely no negatives whatsoever. It’s worth paying the little bit extra for sea view room. We had room 720 which was great. See you next year.
Great valet team & hotel staff
Hotel valet team and our driver Ryan were amazing to work with. Always friendly and offered great suggestions on where to eat. Resort was nice and accommodating and in a great location. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Overall a great vacation, great resort, great location !

The Waterfront Beach Resort in HB was our love nest for a few days. Food and service were only first class! Perfect spot for a romantic staycation. Can't wait to come back to eat, drink and love! Great customer service and professionalism from the staff!
Just returned from a two night stay at the Huntington Beach
Just returned from a two night stay at the Huntington Beach Ca Hilton. The views of the ocean are outstanding and the property location can't be beat. The staff were all nice from front desk, valet and housekeeping. Here's my review plus I'll give a few tips at the bottom... The Hotel: Didn't know what to expect but the resort is pretty large and has a lot of offerings. Just a warning for you, there is a lot of walking to check out the various bars, restaurants and from elevator to rooms. The restaurants and bars: There is a pool bar, an inside bar and the rooftop bar. All are pricey but I would recommend the rooftop bar to have a drink and watch the sunset. $5 for a soda gun ginger ale is crazy... The Rooms : You can't lose booking a room here, all offer at least a partial ocean view and the pools. We booked a oceanfront suite which was nice but there is a LOT of street noise from motorcycles and trucks. Rooms need a little TLC. Furniture is dated, many cosmetic scratches, our room had mismatched lamps. Location: Located directly across from the main beach and .4 miles from the pier. Other: Parking is via valet ($50) and you get charged the resort fee ($35) plus taxes. so even if using points, expect to pay. TIPS: Go off property to main street, its right at the pier, lots of restaurants bars and shops. Hilton offers a free shuttle as well. its .4 miles from the resort. save your money for the oceanfront suite and get the partial view, go to the rooftop bar for sunset drinks then main street for dinner. Hilton staff only talked about on property bars and restaurants, ask about main street offerings as its far better value for the money. We will be back and take advantage of the location to the beach.
Just spent a few days at this hotel for a work event.
I really enjoyed it. Pros - Staff is great Everything is spotless Comfortable room, made up daily Food and drinks at Cabo Wabo restaurant and the rooftop deck were outstanding Car valet service very responsive and quick Cons - While the food served in the restaurant was excellent, the food served at the two group functions was pretty bad, even for the rubber-chicken circuit Drinks are *expensive*, like $20 for a basic cocktail However - would happily stay here again!
Great location for the hotel.
Right across from Huntington beach, an easy 5 minute walk away. Also has a decent pool with a water slide (Only runs 11am~3pm I think) and hot tubs. Also within walking distance to Pacific City plaza to go shopping and dining. The hotel is in good shape and also has a few games laid out for guests to enjoy like ping pong table, connect 4, etc. We stayed on the Huntington tower side in room 1112 with a decent view of the water. They do provide parking but it's valet only. There is a number you can text for them to get the car ready for you. It worked flawlessly the first time, but the second time it just said it was busy and I had to check in at the valet counter instead. Overall good experience in the hotel. One minor thing is the mirror light sometimes flickers, which was a bit annoying. We also had an issue with billing discrepancy after checkout, but Damian Garcia was able to quickly assist us.
We booked a stay 4th of July weekend with our 2 kids.
When we arrived to our room, we found the previous hotel guest's bra in the drawers. We went down to management and notified them. They said they would talk to housekeeping about it. We then unpacked our clothing and headed to the pool. When I went back to the room and took a shower, I went to get my clothes and discovered all my clothes in the drawers were missing. I called the front desk and they stated the housekeeper went to the room and took the items because they thought it was clothing, etc from the previous guest. A small backpack was with my clothing in the drawers and when it was returned I discovered that $800 cash I had hidden in an inside pocket was missing. Our kids were eager to get to the pool and after the delay in checking in, I unfortunately left the backpack in the drawer in a hurry. I was never made aware that anyone would be going into our room so I didn't think it would be an issue. After speaking with the housekeeper and then security, I realized that security had taken the money. They verbalized knowing where something was in the backpack without disclosing that information to them. Therefore security had been going through my things. The security lead was also extremely rude and confrontational. He started yelling at me close to my face. I made a police report. Management gave us a room upgrade initially due to the bra being in our room and then credited $469 when we checked out. I was promised by Luis Campillo, their assistant director of sales, that we would receive a 2 night stay voucher in the mail. We never received the voucher and after many calls to follow up I discovered Luis was no longer working there. Eventually the new manager called me and after more follow up, he refused to distribute us the voucher. I cannot believe this is how the Hilton would treat Diamond members. My husband had been staying at the Hilton regularly for the past couple years for business and I cannot believe how unappreciated we were treated. Although the kids had a good time at the pool, the whole ordeal was very upsetting and overall ruined our vacation. I

I stayed here on the weekend of January 13th for my birthday with my family and friends, I watched a security guard assault my best friend. Better yet, security and hotel management didn't have a care in the world. It's shocking to me that I felt uncomfortable and scared during my stay here, considering hotels should be very hospitable. Never would I stay here If I had kids.
This is a review pertaining to the wonderful holiday buffet
This is a review pertaining to the wonderful holiday buffet brunch they offered on Thanksgiving and Christmas day. We went there the first time for Thanksgiving brunch and loved it so much that went went back for Christmas day also. The price was $135 ea. and that included tax and tip. We have been to many brunches where we have paid that much and more, with some that were not worth the money. This one was worth it. I must say that the entire staff was very friendly and helpful whenever needed. From the time we walked in the door until we left. A big thank you to all the staff that worked on a holiday to help us enjoy our holiday brunch. It was very much appreciated. The food offered was a feast for both the eyes and the stomach! When you first walk around, checking everything out, you feel like you want a little of everything. However, there was so much, that if you couldn't find something you liked, there must be something wrong. Delicious food from the salads to deserts with everything in between. We love brunches and believe me, we walked away happily very full. And then some. The buffet set up for Thanksgiving was a little different than at Christmas. They had more things set up outside at Thanksgiving and because it was a bit cool and windy that day, we felt it wasn't very comfortable going outside. At Christmas, they moved much of those things inside, which we felt was better. A large ballroom was the setup for dining tables. It was decorated very nicely and there was plenty of room. Often places try to cram in as many tables as they can and it might feel very crowded. Here there was plenty of room between tables so you could feel relaxed and comfortable. There was someone walking around doing balloons and another doing magic for those that were interested. There was also a young lady, at Christmas, on the stage singing and playing guitar. Our feeling about the singer wasn't a real positive one. She was just ok and we thought her song selection was a bit weak and at times thought the songs were not in the spirit of Christmas. We would have been happier with just a recorded holiday track. At Thanksgiving they had another young man singing and playing keyboard. He was much better. Minor complaint...At Christmas, they didn't use dinner plates but instead used what we would consider more of a salad plate size. Unfortunate because even if you were to get a normal size portion of food, there would barely be enough room on the plate without putting one thing on top of the other, or possibly spilling something. Therefore, you almost had to use 2 plates to get what you would normally have on one. Otherwise you had to make 2 trips. Inconvenient. At Thanksgiving, they had regular dinner plates also but they were more off to the side and you had to look for them. All in all, this is a holiday brunch we would certainly recommend and feel there is something for everyone to enjoy. We'll be back!!
There are not enough words to describe how magical this
There are not enough words to describe how magical this Hilton property is!! From the moment we entered the lobby, the staff was friendly, professional and completely knowledgeable.. there wasn't a single staff person that we encountered that didn't offer a smile or some advice. Our room was to die for. Henry's Restaurant.. AMAZING!! the atmosphere is soothing and the manager was a complete delight. The entertainment was spectacular. I Absolutely loved how the staff understood that the people staying with them were their guests. We love to travel, and we will definitely be returning to this property.
The location is excellent, especially for the Darker Waves
The location is excellent, especially for the Darker Waves concert we were attending on the beach. Main Street is a short walk away for restaurants, the pier etc. You'll want to walk because your car will be trapped in Valet which is unfortunate. Rooms are fine but not outstanding. I can't comment on value as I stayed here on points but I would not pay anything more than $375/night (The daily Valet fee adds another $45/day on top of that). The hotel restaurant options were forgettable with corporate food quality or less. Overall it is a fine, clean hotel and I would stay here again because of the location but only up to a certain price point. It's certainly not even close to a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons type of experience. It is just a fine corporate quality hotel on the beach.
Coastal Thanksgiving Brunch had excellent service and the
Coastal Thanksgiving Brunch had excellent service and the food was very good with such a wide assortment to choose from over the two hours we were there. The DJ did a good job, though a holiday & jazz selection would have been more appropriate for the event. Also, please provide a vegetarian/vegan protein to accompany the many vegetarian/vegan sides that were available. A very enjoyable experience for my daughter and me!
Good Vibes and Kid-Friendly … a Few Thoughts
Stayed here 4 nights with wife and 2 daughters and mother in law. We reserved a 2 queen beds suite which had a separate sitting room with roll out couch in the twin dolphin tower. Nice sized fridge in room. A few thoughts: 1) Hotel was extremely clean and seems to have undergone a recent renovation as everything felt new no signs of aging. 2) Room was spacious and well appointed. Our ocean view room had decent views but I would recommend North Facing rooms (towards Huntington pier) as the south has views of an unsightly industrial plant. 3) Staff very friendly and laid back. All guests were friendly. Overall this place is perfect for families with kids who want to have fun. Not a couples or honeymooners or retirees place. Some people had their dogs with them so animal-friendly. 4) Kids enjoyed water slides but I was able to swim laps in the other pool which had lane markers underwater. This pool was about 20 meters. Pools were pretty much empty between 7-9am. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas don’t need to fight or get aggro over them. 5) Gym is a serious facility with heavy dumbbells, etc. 6) Wifi strong and was free if booking directly with Hilton Honors. 7) I’m a surfer and was able to paddle out directly in front of the hotel. South side pier is only a five minute walk down the beach. Plenty of surf shops at main intersection. 8) Valet parking was not cheap ($45/day) but you can come and go as you like so overall fair given the area you are. 9) Food is meh. Suggest walking to the mall just North of hotel which has several nice selections or the main intersection with Dukes, etc. Newport is only a 10 minute drive away with a lot of options. 10) We got morning coffee and bagels at the Hero’s Marketplace but their pizza was rubbery. Drinks at the poolside are pricey. Bring your own water to the room. 11) You will drop a fair bit of money at this place but overall a really nice family stay and good overall vibe….we will return.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
